چکیده

We present the design and analysis of STAR, a fully decentralized self-stabilizing randomized membership protocol building a strongly connected overlay graph with sub-logarithmic diameter and almost homogeneous logarithmic degree. STAR is the first protocol to simultaneously maintain the following properties on the resulting graph G: (i) The graph maintains the Eulerian property, namely that the in-degree and out-degree of each node are the same, and that G is strongly connected. (ii) The out-degree of each node automatically converges to an average of 2 ln(n) + O(1) without any node knowing the exact size n of the network, provided there are not very many unsubscriptions. (iii) The diameter of the overlay graph will be ln n ln ln n+ln 2 + O(1) with high probability. (iv) STAR is self-stabilizing. Starting from an arbitrary graph topology, or after disruptive error, STAR will cause the overlay graph to converge to the desired properties. In the paper, we provide the details of the protocol, analysis of the protocol, and simulation results confirming the analysis and comparing STAR with the closest competitor.

Robustified distance based fuzzy membership function for support vector machine classification

Fuzzification of support vector machine has been utilized to deal with outlier and noise problem. This importance is achieved, by the means of fuzzy membership function, which is generally built based on the distance of the points to the class centroid. The focus of this research is twofold. Firstly, by taking the advantage of robust statistics in the fuzzy SVM, more emphasis on reducing the im...

Robust Identification of Smart Foam Using Set Mem-bership Estimation in A Model Error Modeling Frame-work

The aim of this paper is robust identification of smart foam, as an electroacoustic transducer, considering unmodeled dynamics due to nonlinearities in behaviour at low frequencies and measurement noise at high frequencies as existent uncertainties. Set membership estimation combined with model error modelling technique is used where the approach is based on worst case scenario with unknown but...

A Robust Distributed Estimation Algorithm under Alpha-Stable Noise Condition

Robust adaptive estimation of unknown parameter has been an important issue in recent years for reliable operation in the distributed networks. The conventional adaptive estimation algorithms that rely on mean square error (MSE) criterion exhibit good performance in the presence of Gaussian noise, but their performance drastically decreases under impulsive noise. In this paper, we propose a rob...

ارائه الگوریتم شناسایی ستاره بر مبنای رأی‌گیری هندسی به منظور استفاده در ردیاب‌های ستاره‌ای

Star identification is one of the most important stages in attitude determination with star trackers. This can be performed using matching algorithms between observed stars and a master star catalogue. The main challenge in this approach is to provide a fast and reliable identification algorithm that is sufficiently robust in different pointing views of the star tracker optical system in the sp...

A New Approach Generating Robust and Stable Schedules in m-Machine Flow Shop Scheduling Problems: A Case Study

This paper considers a scheduling problem with uncertain processing times and machine breakdowns in industriall/office workplaces and solves it via a novel robust optimization method. In the traditional robust optimization, the solution robustness is maintained only for a specific set of scenarios, which may worsen the situation  for new scenarios. Thus, a two-stage predictive algorithm is prop...
